That’s why our partnership with KONNECT Youth, a nonprofit dedicated to creativity, communication, and community building, is one of the most powerful pieces of the PHRESHBUZZ relaunch. Together, we’re creating a pipeline for young storytellers to step into real media roles — starting right here in the City of Gardena, California.

A Space Where Students Become Journalists, Photographers, and Creators

For years, the traditional media world has overlooked student voices. PHRESHBUZZ is flipping that script.

Through our youth initiative, students across the South Bay will be able to participate in real media work through programs like:

A student journalism program where young writers cover school events, local stories, trending topics, and community wins — with their byline published in every issue.

📌 Behind the Lens

A visual storytelling space for student photographers to showcase their strongest photos, creative concepts, and event coverage.

📌 Hip-Hop Student Talk

Where students step into the role of interviewer — asking artists the questions they want answered, either by email or in live Q&A sessions.

📌 Athlete Spotlights & Campus Culture

Highlighting student-athletes, clubs, achievements, youth-led events, and everything happening across South Bay’s school communities.

These aren’t “school assignments.” They’re real opportunities, real exposure, and real platforms for students to build experience before they even graduate.
