La Shayle: From Hairapist to Hip-Hop Hustler
By PHRESHBUZZ Magazine
Some people do hair. Some people make music. La Shayle, aka @_itssladyyy, does both—and she's doing it her own way.
Born with a passion for beauty, La Shayle has been styling hair since she was a kid, practicing on her brothers, sisters, and anyone willing to sit in her chair. What started as a childhood hobby grew into a full-time career, and by 2015 she was making a name for herself as one of Los Angeles' most respected hairstylists.
But don't just call her a hairstylist.
La Shayle proudly refers to herself as a "Hairapist."
Why? Because for many clients, the salon is more than a place to get their hair done. It's a place to vent, heal, laugh, cry, and receive encouragement. Over the years, she's built a reputation for not only transforming hair but also helping people feel better about themselves.

"I love making people feel good and helping them grow their confidence," she says.
While beauty built her foundation, music has always lived in her heart.
Long before she stepped into a recording booth, La Shayle was singing in church choirs and even rapping alongside her sisters as a child. The love for music never disappeared—it simply waited for the right moment.
That moment came in 2021.
Following the passing of her husband, La Shayle found herself turning to music as an outlet. Inspired by his belief in her talent and encouraged by the support he always gave her, she decided to take her music career seriously.
Today, she's building her catalog and preparing to release a new project later this year.
And music isn't her only move.
La Shayle is also making noise in the entertainment world through the hit series Compton Baddies, which is preparing to enter its third season. Between beauty, music, television, and entrepreneurship, she's proving that talent has no limits.
Whether she's behind the chair, behind the microphone, or in front of the camera, La Shayle continues to inspire those around her through hard work, resilience, and authenticity.
One thing is clear: she's not just building a brand—she's building a legacy.
Follow La Shayle @_itssladyyy and stay tuned for new music, new projects, and a whole lot more coming soon.
